Medical Conditions and Liquid Facelift

Liquid Facelift is a non surgical procedure to reduce wrinkles and restore volume to the facial area. The effects of Liquid Facelift may be compared with the effects of a traditional facelift; however, a traditional facelift will provide more dramatic results. Liquid Facelift may be applied in a wide range of patients of all ages, but there are a few medical conditions that will interfere with the Liquid Facelift treatment.

Medication Allergies

The Liquid Facelift is an injectible treatment that will administer a solution that is made up of different compounds including medications, which can cause a severe allergic reaction in people that have a history of a medication allergy.

A test will be performed prior to administering the Liquid Facelift treatment to ensure the patient won’t develop allergies to the solution.

Cardiovascular Disease

Patients with cardiovascular disease should avoid getting a Liquid Facelift. The treatment may interfere with the normal function of the heart. The plastic surgeon will determine if the condition of the patient is suitable for a Liquid Facelift treatment.

Neuromuscular Disorders

The Liquid Facelift treatment is administered under the skin and may not be recommended for patients with neuromuscular disorders. The effects of the treatment in patients with neuromuscular disorders haven’t been established yet, but the treatment may not be as effective.

Diabetes

Liquid Facelift can be used in patients with diabetes, but extra caution must be taken. Also, the condition must be under control and the patient should get regular insulin shots.

Liquid Facelift is more recommended in diabetes patients than a Surgical Facelift.
