The Triniti skin series is a 3 in 1 treatment of non-invasive procedures designed as a means of facial skin toning, tightening and clarifying as well as smoothing wrinkles to refresh and revitalize the skin and keep it looking younger. The treatment consists of exposing affected areas to light/laser energy and bi-polar radio frequency which stimulates skin rejuvenation. Triniti skin treatments involve 3 specific processes:
- Wrinkle Treatment - To smooth and correct wrinkles or crow's feet, known as Matrix IR™ fractional treatment.
- Skin Tightening - To combat signs of aging in areas including neck, jowl, nose, under the eyes and eyebrows, known as the Refirme™ treatment.
- Tone Correction - Targeting damage from sun exposure, age spots, spider veins and uneven skin coloration, known as FotoFacial RF™ treatment.
As a relatively new cosmetic procedure, there are some misconceptions about the Triniti skin series which prospective patients should be aware of.
Myth: Triniti Skin Treatments Are Not Safe
Fact: The FDA has approved Triniti skin procedures as a safe, non-invasive cosmetic procedure for all patient skin tones and types.
Myth: Triniti Has Many Side Effects
Fact: As with many non-surgical skin treatments, patients may experience such mild effects as temporary skin sensitivity to temperature and sunlight, mild swelling, redness and itching. Topical anesthetic creams and cooling fans can be applied during the treatment to minimize these effects.
Myth: The Triniti Skin Process Is Time Consuming
Fact: The three treatments last approximately 40 to 60 minutes in total, and for optimum results, it is recommended that patients undergo 3 treatments, spaced at intervals of 3 to 4 weeks apart, with a follow up session after 6 months.
Myth: Triniti Treatments Should Only Be Performed on the Face
Fact: The Triniti skin treatment can also be effective on the neck, but is not recommended for other parts of the body.
Myth: The Effects of Triniti Are Immediate
Fact: Most patients will see a gradual improvement in skin tone, texture and clarity over the course of the treatment period, but should not expect immediate results. The skin will take time to react to the treatments, and will not respond instantly, which is why the sessions are spaced out. This allows the body's natural healing to process the procedure and allow for maximum benefit.
Myth: Triniti Skin Treatments Are Permanent
Fact: Most patients can expect long lasting results after 3 treatments. However, as skin is constantly aging, additional treatments may be required after a period of several years on a case by case basis, which is dependent on individual lifestyle factors such as metabolism, exercise, diet and exposure to sunlight.
Myth: Triniti Is Covered by Insurance
Fact: As with many cosmetic procedures, the Triniti skin treatment is considered to be a non-essential or elective procedure, and is therefore generally not covered by medical insurance.
Myth: The Triniti Skin Series Can Be Administered by Anyone
Fact: Although it is a non-invasive and non-surgical treatment, it is recommended that patients seek the Triniti skin series only from licensed and qualified medical or cosmetological professionals who have been specifically trained to perform the procedures.
