Potential Side Effects of Velashape

Velashape is a new tool for battling cellulite and related fat deposits in the body. This non-invasive, non-surgical process involves applying radio energy to the skin in hopes of stimulating fat cells.

Side Effects of VelaShape

Most patients do not report any side effects of VelaShape. There are no needles, no chemicals applied to the skin, and no anesthesia. VelaShape is simply a vacuum nozzle that is applied to the skin.

Reported Side Effects

A few patients have reported side effects with VelaShape. In some cases, patients who received this treatment have moderate to severe bruising afterward. Some doctors specify that this bruising can be the result of an untrained or not fully qualified medical staff applying the machine incorrectly.

In addition to bruising, there is a more common side effect of VelaShape. Patients report that after a VelaShape procedure, the skin can be red for a few hours, partly as a result of the tension from the vacuum and the heat energy. Patients may also feel a heated sensation in the skin tissue area. These side effects are usually harmless and should go away on their own within hours.

Though the side effects with VelaShape are usually minimal, consult a qualified physician for individual advice on this treatment.
