LipoDissolve is a non-surgical alternative to liposuction. During the procedure, a series of injections are placed in the targeted area that dissolves fat cells. The treatment is very effective on localized areas of fat on the chin, hips, arms abdomen and elsewhere. Here are some things you can expect if you decide to undergo Lipodissolve.
Preparation
During the initial consultation, you and your doctor will discuss the areas you would like to treat. She will develop a treatment plan that will include the number of injections you will receive.
The Procedure
The actual procedure takes anywhere from 15 - 30 minutes to complete. The doctor will administer a series of injections into the targeted areas.
Recovery and Follow-Up
Lipodissolve requires almost no down time. Often referred to as "lunchtime lipo," the procedure allows most patients to return to their normal activities immediately following treatment. You may notice mild swelling or bruising near the injection sites directly after the procedure. However, this will go down within a few days. Most patients will require several treatments for maximum effect. Doctors recommend waiting two weeks between treatments.
Results
Results vary from patient to patient. The most dramatic results occur in the waist/belly area and the least noticeable results occur in the legs. It may take certain individuals up to six months to notice visible changes. Results are not permanent. Although the fat cells do dissolve, if you gain weight, new fat cells will appear in the problem areas. Doctors recommend you consume a healthy, well-balanced diet and participate in regular exercise activities in order to maintain results.
