Advantages of LATISSE ®
Currently, LATISSE ® is only FDA approved product on the market to assist in the growth of eyelashes. The application process is very simple and can be done in the comfortable of the user's home. It only has to be applied once a day. After 8 weeks, studies show that most of the users are able to see longer and thicker eyelashes after using the product on a daily basis.
LATISSE ® can be used by people who have sensitive eyes. It can also be used by people who wear contacts lenses as long as the lenses are removed when the solution is applied.
Disadvantages of LATISSE ®
If the Latisse solution is no longer being used, the results began to wear off and the eyelashes return back to their normal status. It may take longer to see results from LATISSE ® than from other similar products on the market. The cost of the LATISSE ® is about $100 to $150 per bottle for a 45 day supply.
Since it is considered to a cosmetic treatment, it is not covered by most insurance plans. LATISSE ® can only be applied to the upper eyelashes.
