Conditions that Blue Peel Treats

The blue peel is a technique that will remove layers of dead and damaged skin cells and will cause a light depigmentation. The technique employs a solution that contains 20% trichloracetic acid and a bluish ionic base. The solution is applied in several layers in the problem areas, so that in the end, your skin will have a homogeneous look.

A chemical blue peel may be applied on the face, neck, cleavage, arms or back and will treat the following conditions:

  • Age or sun spots: the treatment will erase the brownish spots that make you look older
  • Acne: the procedure may diminish the aspect of acne, and the acne may never reappear
  • Scars: if you have any scars that ruin the aspect of your face, neck, arms, back or cleavage, the blue peel can be an excellent solution

Your skin will gain elasticity after the procedure. In addition, the blue peel will also perform a light lift and iron out some wrinkles, leaving you with a gentler, younger looking skin.

The blue peel is an outpatient surgery and may take between 35 to 45 minutes. If your condition is serious, you may need several sessions; you can get 1 blue peel every 4 weeks.
