Cosmetic and Health Benefits of Vi Peel

Vi Peel is a unique skin treatment that utilizes a blend of 5 acids to offer real results, without the pain often associated with peels. The acid blend consists of TCA, Retin-A, salicylic acid, phenol and vitamin C. Each ingredient works synergistically with the others to address a wide variety of skin conditions while minimizing discomfort and downtime.

Softens Fine Lines and Wrinkles

As skin ages, collagen breaks down causing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Vi Peel can help to soften these lines and give a more youthful appearance to the skin.

Reduces the Appearance of Age Spots and Freckles

Age spots are often caused by too much sun exposure. Vi Peel can diminish the appearance of these discolorations. Freckles can also be lightened with Vi Peel treatments.

Lightens Melasma

Melasma is usually hormonally induced; pregnancy and birth control use can bring about this skin condition. Sometimes called “the mask of pregnancy,” melasma shows as areas of hyperpigmentation on the forehead, nose, cheeks or upper lip.

Improves Overall Tone and Texture of the Skin

The skin will appear to have a more even and refined look, after being treated with Vi Peel.

Minimizes the Look of Pores

Pores will appear smaller following Vi Peel treatment.

Stimulates Collagen and Firms the Skin

The acids in Vi Peel, cause a controlled inflammation to the skin. The skin responds to the inflammation by increasing collagen production, which results in increased skin firmness.

Treats Acne and Helps to Reduce Scars

Vi Peel treatments help keep the pores unclogged, which is useful in preventing acne flare-ups. The peels also help to soften existing acne scars.

Helps Remove Precancerous Skin Cells

Too much sun exposure can cause precancerous skin conditions. These areas often look red and scaly. Vi Peel treatments can help remove these damaged cells before they cause more serious problems.

The Procedure

The Vi Peel is applied at the medical spa or clinic. This procedure takes approximately 20 minutes to complete. The solution is left on the skin for 5 hours and is washed off by the patient at home. There should be no pain with this peel, but you may feel a slight stinging sensation that will subside quickly after application. Directing a fan towards the skin, during the peel, may help ease this sensation.

Recovery Time

There is no downtime with this peel; you may resume normal activities immediately. The skin will look slightly red or tan and feel tighter for the first 2 days. Sloughing of the skin typically starts on day 3 and will usually end a few days later. The flaking skin can usually be hidden with just the use of a moisturizer. Avoid wearing make-up during the days when the skin is actively peeling. You must also avoid sun exposure during this time. After the peeling has stopped, minimize exposure by using an SPF of 30. The final results of the peel can be seen, roughly, 4 days after the sloughing has stopped.

You should not use Vi Peel if you have an allergy to any of the ingredients in the peel solution. You should also avoid the peels while pregnant or nursing.
