Initial Results of Purtox
After the Purtox treatment, the face will look red and swollen, but these side effects should go away in up to 5 days. After this healing period, the results of Purtox will start to be visible; the botulin toxin will penetrate the muscles and these will relax. The results will improve within 2 weeks after the administration of the injections. The dynamic wrinkles in the treated areas will not be visible.
Please note that Purtox will not improve the texture of the skin and will not remove spots or scars.
Long Term Results of Purtox
A Purtox treatment includes 3 to 5 injections in one area. The duration of the treatment is 10 to 20 minutes. The effects of Purtox will be visible for 4 to 6 months. Tests have shown that the results of Purtox last longer than the results of Botox, which is a similar treatment, using the same botulin toxin.
After the effects of Purtox are no longer present, the wrinkles will reoccur. The Purtox treatment may be reapplied. Patients notice that the effects of Purtox tend to be more durable after 2 or more treatments.
