Wrinkle Reduction
Prevelle Silk is frequently used as a dermal filler to reduce wrinkles and fine lines. The treatment is most often applied on the face and the neck. Patients may get a Prevelle Silk treatment for wrinkles in the eye area and forehead area. The nasolabial folds may also be neutralized with a few Prevelle Silk injections. The hyaluronic acid used in Prevelle Silk is meant to lock in moisture and preserve the fresh, youthful look of the face for longer.
Enhanced Volume
Prevelle Silk is a treatment that may be used to add more volume to certain areas of the face. A lot of patients use Prevelle Silk to enhance the size of their lips. The lip injections will result in a fuller appearance. When applied in the lip area, Prevelle Silk requires local anesthesia, as it can be painful. Some patients will get these injections for additional volume in the cheek area.
Reduced Sunken Scars
Prevelle Silk may be successfully used to reduce the appearance of sunken scars, which may be a result of acne, trauma or other skin problems.
The effect of Prevelle Silk may be visible for 6 to 12 months, depending on the amount of hyaluronic acid applied and the response of the body to the treatment.
