Purtox works as a dermal filler. Skin tone does not play a factor in the results provided by this product. Many patients require multiple treatment sessions in order to notice long lasting results. However, in some cases, Purtox completely removes wrinkles and fine lines caused by aging for extended periods of time.
Medium Tones and Purtox
Purtox will deliver optimal results to patients that maintain skin health daily before and after the treatment. Simple steps--such as avoiding the application or contact of harsh chemicals, avoiding too much sunlight and moisturizing the skin daily--can help keep Purtox results intact.
Patients with medium skin tones will face the same chance of side effects and allergic outbreaks; only a small percentage of patients do see negative effects. Purtox remains in a testing phase, making the product less reliable than some dermal fillers currently available (some of which contain clearances and full approval from the Food and Drug Administration).
Medium skin tones tend to hide some redness caused by the injection during Purtox treatments. The tiny needle that gets used during Purtox causes only a slight amount of redness and swelling, which generally disappears in a matter of hours. Patients with darker complexions will notice less redness collectively.
