Compared to other fraxel treatments (i.e. fraxel repair), fraxel restore is a less aggressive treatment that can be recommended for:

Prevention and Maintenance
The fraxel restore treatment is used for prevention and maintenance purposes; you may choose a full facial treatment, but you may also focus on certain problem areas (i.e. a scar).
A fraxel restore treatment may require up to 6 appointments and no after treatment. Each appointment lasts for around 25 minutes; however, the surgery will be performed under anesthesia.
