Fraxel for Women

Fraxel is a laser treatment that promises a youthful look and rejuvenated skin. Because Fraxel is a fractional laser treatment, only a fraction of the skin, as little as 20%, is treated by light. Computer controlled microscopic lights penetrate into the skin. Skin and healing is faster and downtime is less. Women undergo Flaxel treatments for various reasons.

Stretch Marks

The scarring from stretch marks is formed when the collagen of the dermis skin is damaged from the excessive stretching of the skin. Stretch marks are often caused from pregnancy, and some teens experience these skin changes and stretch marks when they go through growth spurts.

Fraxel has been reported to be a successful treatment for stretch marks.

Acne Scars and Sun Damaged Skin

This method of treatment is quickly becoming the ideal choice for acne scars as it rejuvenates the skin. Fraxel laser treatment destroys the diseased tissue and increases new collagen formation. This, in turn, speeds up the healing of the skin.

Anti Aging and a Laser Facelift

As the bad tissue is destroyed and new collagen is produced, new dramatically younger skin forms.

Skin is normally slightly red after the laser treatments, but it improves after just a few days. Usually 4 to 6 treatments are required. Repeat treatments should only be done at intervals of 2 to 3 weeks. Skin will normally improve over a period of about six months.
