Triniti and Oily Skin

Triniti laser treatment targets discolored, wrinkled, droopy and scarred skin on the face and neck in three 40- to 90-minute sessions. Oily skin can be one of the more difficult skin types to treat. However, patients with oily skin should still be eligible for this procedure.

The Triniti Procedure

There are three steps to the Triniti procedure, each of which uses radio frequency, infrared light or both to start up new cell and collagen production on the skin. The first stage targets discoloration, caused by rosacea, age spots, tanning or acne scars. The second and third stages tighten lines and target wrinkles, undereye bagginess and jowls.

Oily Skin

It is important to note that Triniti is not a procedure to "fix" oily skin by any means. It can work on lightening the scars left behind by acne. It is also gentle and non-invasive enough not to cause excess stress to oily skin, as the cosmetic specialist can adjust radio frequency to lower or higher levels depending on how much of the skin he or she believes should be targeted. During recovery, patients may experience a small breakout as their skin works to produce new cells and collagen, but it should not be substantial.

Patients with oil skin can most likely fix uneven tone and signs of aging with Triniti, without harsh effects. However, be aware that this procedure does not attempt to fix the oily skin condition itself.
