Recovery after Lipolite Laser Liposculpture

Lipolite laser liposculpture is a minimally invasive procedure that combines suctioning and laser fat-melting technology and precision to remove and destroy excess fat tissue on the body. Recovery after the procedure is less involved than recovery from weight loss surgery or even from liposuction alone.

The First Two Days After

You should expect the most discomfort during the first one to two days after your lipolite laser liposculpture treatment. Stay home from work if possible. However, if the nature of your work is not physically intensive, you may be able to return to work the next day. Minor swelling and bruising in the treated areas is common. You can usually reduce any pain and discomfort you feel with over-the-counter pain medication and are unlikely to need prescription-strength pain medicine. Avoid excessive physical activity.

Because the removal of fat with lipolite laser liposculpture is instantaneous, you will notice a huge improvement in the tightness of the skin in the treated areas immediately, but you will not yet see ideal results.

The Next Six to Eight Weeks

You can return to work and normal activities after only one to two days and should find that the pain and discomfort has subsided greatly. However, over the next six to eight weeks, you should expect some swelling and bruising to linger, but they will fade gradually over time. You won't actually see the intended results of the lipolite laser liposculpture procedure until six to eight weeks have passed. This is because the swelling and bruising must subside entirely before you can see how your body will look.
