NEOS MedSpa was founded in 2002 under the name SONA Laser Center, now Sona MedSpa. Sona is a national franchise specializing in laser hair removal. However, after a change in our ownership structure to include a board certified plastic surgeon, we found the guidelines of the franchise too restrictive. Our clients were asking for more diverse and advanced treatments than the franchise would allow us to offer. In 2007, we decided to end our relationship with Sona MedSpa. We changed our name to NEOS MedSpa.

Our first priority is your safety, followed by results. To that end, we have extensively researched the best lasers, technology and treatment protocols. We deliver these results in offices designed to make you comfortable, with a staff trained to deliver the outcome you are looking for. We currently have offices in Scottsdale, Peoria and Chandler. NEOS performs over 20,000 treatments annually.

Dr. Shaun Parson

Dr. Parson trained in plastic and reconstructive surgery at The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He has participated with the Operation Smile Organization, donating his surgical skills to correct congenital facial defects in children.

Dr. Parson is a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with a special interest in cosmetic surgery and breast reconstruction, following cancer. He is the current Chief of Surgery at Scottsdale Healthcare Shea Hospital. He is a Certified Diplomat of The American Board of Plastic Surgery and The American Board of Surgery. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Parson received a BS from The University of Utah in Biomedical Engineering. He obtained an MD degree from The George Washington University, and completed a General Surgery Residency at The Phoenix Integrated Surgical Residency.

Dr. Parson is currently an Associate Professor of Surgery at The University of Arizona. He is a Clinical Instructor in Plastic Surgery for both The Phoenix Integrated Surgical Residency and The Mayo Clinic.

Dr. Parson performs all types of plastic surgery including breast implant and facelifts but has a special interest in both cosmetic surgery and breast reconstruction.

Laser Hair Removal

LipoDissolve

Lipodissolve is under the direction of Dr. Roman Chapity.  Dr, Chipity was the first doctor in the United stated to use lipodissolve and is an instructor with Aesthetic MD a national training center for lipodissolve and other injectibles

Rather than go through the pain and discomfort associated with liposuction, patients now have the option of a series of injections (using very small needles) with very minimal discomfort. LipoDissolve is particularly well-suited for women who have isolated pockets of fat. These localized fat deposits may either be excess fat or sometimes are an inherited trait and typically do not respond to dieting or exercise. LipoDissolve can also be an aid in treating various medical conditions in both men and women that include treating fat deposits of the face or body, cellulite, lipomas, aid skin retraction and more.  LipoDissolve is a great liposuction alternative.

NEOS MedSpa is proud to use the Sciton and Alma lasers; they are two of the most technologically advanced lasers for removing age spots, sun spots, birthmarks, freckles and other skin discolorations. Melanin is what gives our skin its color. The amount of melanin in your skin determines if you have a light or dark complexion. Most skin spots are dark in color simply because the melanin is abnormally concentrated in one area. High concentrations of melanin can be due to various factors. Some types are present at birth, but most occur with age or as a result of overexposure to the suns damaging ultraviolet rays.

The Sciton and Alma lasers are specifically designed to effectively target the dark concentrations of melanin while leaving your normal skin's pigmentation unaffected. The unwanted pigment is destroyed after absorbing the laser light. It is not a painful procedure – the impact of the energy from the light pulses is similar to the snap of a thin rubber band. After the treatment, the area will feel similar to a light sunburn. Typically any discomfort will disappear within a day or so. Usually two to five treatments are all that is required.

Everyone's heard of Botox® injections. Over one million people have been treated since it was approved by the FDA in 2002. Botox® is most effective on frown lines, crows feet and forehead creases. It works by relaxing facial muscles that cause the brow to furrow. Our treatments can usually be done in about an hour in our comfortable spa facilities, with minimal or no discomfort. You can return to work with no recovery time! There are virtually no side effects. The results last from four to six months (individual cases may vary). Best of all, it is one of the most affordable and effective ways to smooth wrinkles that exists today.

Spider Vein Treatment

For years, Spider Vein Treatment consisted of one option: sclerotherapy, which involves injecting the veins with a chemical solution. Now we can treat small and medium spider veins using a laser. The laser is applied to the skin over your spider veins. Laser energy causes your spider veins to coagulate and shrink. Usually there is no need for anesthesia; you will experience a feeling similar to a small rubber band snapping against your skin.

Over 2–6 weeks, your spider veins usually fade. After each treatment, you will see a 70–80% improvement in the appearance of face spider veins and 30–40% improvement in leg spider veins. An average of three treatments will be required at three-month intervals.
