Laser Hair Removal
Helping to permanently reduce unwanted hair. Moreover, it's doing it faster, more reliably and more comfortably than other standard methods like electrolysis, shaving and tweezing. Laser hair removal has proven to be a giant step forward in hair removal technology.
Excessive hair growth is the result of heredity, hormonal factors, and some medications. Commonly treated areas are the face, back, neck, legs, bikini line, chest and underarms. Any skin area can be treated except eyelids.
Aesthetic Laser Care utilizes the LightSheer diode laser to target the pigment located in hair follicles. Flashes of laser light cause thermal injury to the targeted hair follicle, causing the unwanted hair to fall out, while avoiding damage to the normal surrounding tissue. The laser offers a cooling device that automatically cools on contact to protect the skin while directing the laser energy to the hair follicle. For optimal results, Aesthetic Laser Care recommends a series of 3 to 6 treatments four to twelve weeks apart (depending on the area being treated).
IPL
Both the pleasures and stresses of life, along with the simple passage of time, tend to cause our skin to appear older. Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), also known as Photofacial, is a non-ablative mixture of many wavelengths of light which work beneath the skin’s surface to greatly reduce brown spots, discolorations, redness, and broken capillaries. Photorejuvenation with IPL also improves skin tone and texture, and minimizes fine lines by inducing significant structural change in the epidermis and dermis. Generally, a series of three to six IPL treatments is needed to gradually give your skin a more homogeneous appearance. Further improvement can be achieved by combining IPL with treatments such as microdermabrasion, chemical peels, and Botox.
BOTOX®
A simple, non-surgical treatment that can temporarily smooth moderate to severe glabellar lines between the eyebrows, worry lines located on the forehead, and periorbital lines around the eyes (also knows as crow's feet). BOTOX® is the only treatment of its type approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The procedure takes only a short time to perform and there is no down time.
Restylane
Impressions of beauty change with time – as do our faces as we age. With Restylane, you can have a natural beauty lift with the body’s own material. Restylane is a clear, non-animal, biodegradable gel based on a natural substance called hyaluronic acid. The gel is injected into the skin in tiny amounts with a very fine needle. The result is instantaneous and produces a long-lasting, natural enhancement that is gentle and safe for your skin.
Microdermabrasion
A non-invasive gentle abrasion (skin polishing) treatment that propels natural mineral crystals onto the surface of the skin to reveal newer, healthier younger looking skin. With healthier skin as its base, many conditions begin to heal themselves. Treatments have been performed for years and found to be safe and effective for use on the face, neck, chest and back of all skin types, male or female. A trained technician who has received training in skin care and the procedure and has the endorsement of the Aesthetic Laser Care Medical Director will perform the treatment.
The surface layer of skin collects harmful environmental elements. By aggressively, uniformly removing this layer of dead, impacted cells the surface is refined and smoothed. The micro-massage action of the treatment stimulates blood flow which in turn nourishes the skin and fortifies new cell growth.
Chemical Peel
A non-invasive technique for restoring wrinkled, blemished, unevenly pigmented, or sun-damaged facial skin. A chemical solution is used to peel away the skin's damaged outer layers. The new cells and collagen are stimulated during the healing process to produce a smoother, tighter, younger-looking skin surface. Chemical peels can be used on the entire face or on specific regions such as the forehead or areas around the mouth. A peel does not eliminate sagging or excess skin. Each treatment is customized for patient skin type, specific problem areas and the delicate areas of the face. The depth of the peel is dependent on the concentration and type of acid, and a person's skin type and sensitivity. Treatment issues will be discussed during your aesthetic consultation.
