Dr. Byun received his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School. He completed a clinical fellowship in Plastic Surgery at Northwestern and was a research advisor at the University of California, Department of Neurobiology and at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke Research. Dr. Byun is certified in Ultra Pulse Laser Resurfacing, Endoscopic Carpal Tunnel Release, Endoscopic Surgery in Plastic Surgery, Maxilofacial Principle and Technique, Erbium Laser and Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the Chicago Medical Society, and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Julie Hoff, RN, is the owner and clinical director of GOLDCOAST medspa, Ltd. Ms. Hoff has extensive clinical experience with laser-based procedures; advanced skin care regimens; Botox® and dermal fillers, and permanent cosmetics. In the eight years since she found GoldCoast medspa, Ms. Hoff has performed thousands laser hair removal procedures and light-based skin treatments for satisfied clients.
On going medical education is critical in this technology-driven field, and Ms. Hoff, a designated trainer for select laser companies, regularly participates in advanced training provided by laser manufacturers, medical associations, and physicians groups. She has attended the following courses:

Prior to owning her own business, Ms. Hoff practiced intensive care nursing, which involved the daily use of high-technology, life-saving procedures in the care of acutely ill patients.
