SmartLipo™
Pioneered in Europe, the SmartLipo™ procedure is the first laser-assisted liposuction procedure. SmartLipo™ was approved by the FDA in November of 2006 and has quickly been labeled the cutting edge procedure in cosmetic surgery.
If you have areas of fat that will not respond to diet and exercise, then you are a candidate for SmartLipo™. Utilizing smaller instruments and specialized technology, SmartLipo™ removes fat cells, contouring and reshaping areas of the body including the abdomen, love handles, backs, thighs, hips, knees, arms, neck, and chin. Through a special laser similar to that used in cataract surgery, fat cells are targeted and the sound energy literally dissolves the cells on contact. A gentle suction then massages the dissolved fat out of the body. A very small percentage is retained, absorbed into the body, and excreted as waste within 24 hours. The laser vaporizes and liquefies the fat on contact resulting in less fat. Careful shaping of the treatment area makes way for a better contour and appearance to the body area treated. Since the aiming beam at the tip of the SmartLipo laser allows the doctor to know exactly where she is at all times, the procedure is very precise.
SmartLipo™ is highly effective for patients wishing to lose small amounts of fat. It will not provide satisfactory results for persons needing to lose significant amounts of body fat. Almost anyone can be a good candidate for SmartLipo™. In general, the ideal candidate: (1) is in good health, exercises regularly, is within 25 lbs. of his or her ideal weight; (2) has one or more areas of local body fat deposits that have responded poorly to diet and exercise; and (3) is bothered by these fatty areas, and is motivated to get rid of them permanently.
Most patients typically require only one treatment. Each SmartLipo™ session may last from 45 minutes to one hour for each area treated. SmartLipo can also be used for “touch-ups” and revisions to previously treated areas. SmartLipo™ recovery time is fast and relatively painless. Recovery starts the moment the surgeon turns off the SmartLipo™ laser. Patients often return to work within 1–2 days of undergoing the SmartLipo procedure.
Prior to an actual procedure visit you will need to schedule a consultation appointment with the physician. During this visit you will discuss your goals for the SmartLipo™ and your expectations. You will also need to share your medical history and other relevant information. The physician will inform you of the realistic expectations you can achieve based on your initial body state.

Zerona™
Zerona™ is the only non-invasive, body slimming, low-level laser with proven results. Zerona™ targets your problem areas, and painlessly reduces fat in the tissue under your skin. Then your natural detoxification system simply eliminates the fat from your body. It can reduce inches from target areas, contour and reshape your body, tighten and tone loose skin. By following the Zerona™ treatment plan patients can expect to drop 2 to 7 pant/dress sizes, lose 3 to 9 inches, and reduce stubborn fat.

Harmony® Laser 360 Skin Rejuvenation
The Harmony® Laser Platform is the most recent generation of technology designed to comprehensively address any patient’s key skin care need. The Harmony® Program provides treatments to improve skin tone, texture, tightness, and color. While each treatment works well alone, what we have learned is the best results can be achieved when an individualized program is implemented as a 60 day plan. During that 60 days, each patient receives the appropriate type and number of treatments to improve skin color, skin texture and tone, and skin tightness.
- Skin Color – Vascular or pigmented skin, and conditions like Rosacea are effectively treated using the AFT pulsed light modules. Typically this includes a series of 3-5 treatments.
- Skin Texture and Tone – Possibly the most unique module in the Harmony® Platform, the Pixel™ 2940 was designed specifically for skin texture. The Pixel™ is a Fractional Laser Skin Resurfacing treatment. There is minimal pain and down time, and is generally performed in a series of 2-4 treatments.
- Skin Tightening – The ST near infrared module is a painless treatment that improves skin tightness reducing fine lines and wrinkles. Ideally suited as a combination with the AFT and the Pixel™, it can also be offered as a stand alone option in a series of 3-6 treatments.
Since the most significant improvement and benefit occurs when these treatments are applied in combination, we offer a package price of $ 3,000.00 that covers all the treatments necessary under the Laser 360 Program. Photo Rejuvenation
Until the introduction of the Harmony® Platform, the use of Intense Pulsed Light, or IPL, had been the standard in the industry for treating vascular issues and skin discoloration. The SR Module of the Harmony® Platform employs patented AFT pulsed light technology to provide effective and individualized treatment options for large pores, loose skin, broken capillaries, fine lines, sun damage, and facial redness. Photo Rejuvenation treatments can be used on all areas of the face, neck, and chest as well as on the hands, and arms. The Harmony® SR Module delivers a series of gentle light pulses to the skin under specific settings carefully selected for individual skin type and coloration.
Harmony® AFT Photo Rejuvenation is ideal for:

Skin Tightening
The ST Module of the Harmony® Platform is innovative technology designed specifically to promote collagen regeneration with the corresponding benefits of skin tightening and remodeling. The near-infrared ST Module is a non-invasive device that produces safe, effective deep dermal heating that biophysically promotes collagen improvement at the cellular and molecular levels.
Patients interested in skin tightening often have not progressed to the point where their condition warrants surgery, or they may not want the cost or down time associated with surgery. Individuals with mild to moderate skin laxity in facial areas are candidates for skin tightening, toning, and texture smoothing without any of the unpleasant attributes of surgical procedures
Pixel™ Fractional Laser Resurfacing
Laser skin resurfacing is a procedure commonly used to restore a youthful appearance to wrinkled, prematurely aged, or sun damaged skin. While results can be excellent, laser resurfacing can be painful and have extended downtime. Pixel™ Fractional Resurfacing procedures offer results comparable to laser resurfacing without the discomfort or need for lengthy recuperation.
How does it work? Pixel™ skin resurfacing is a micro-thermal treatment that triggers the body’s natural healing process thereby stimulating the growth of new healthy skin tissue.
The procedure treats small zones of skin, leaving surrounding tissue untouched and intact. The untreated areas act as a reservoir for more rapid and effective tissue healing and collagen production resulting in newer, healthier, and smoother skin. Pixel™ skin resurfacing can be used on patients of most skin types and on all areas of the body. Since this procedure spares healthy tissue, it can be performed on delicate skin areas, such as face, neck, chest, and hands.

Each patient has a customized treatment plan specifically for their needs. Generally, a treatment regimen involves two to four session spaced at four week intervals. After treatment it is not uncommon to feel a slight tingling sensation and patients may also experience slight swelling for a day or two. As new skin replaces dead tissue, your skin will flake, a sign that healing is underway. But your skin will look better immediately, and will steadily improve over the next few months.
Harmony® Soprano Laser Hair Removal
Today laser hair removal is the fastest-growing procedure in cosmetic dermatology. One of the most recent innovations and the ideal option for this procedure is diode laser hair removal, like the Harmony® Soprano. Women opt to remove unwanted hair from their chins or upper lips. They often wish to rid themselves of embarrassing bikini lines or underarm hair, and to be freed from endless hours of shaving or waxing their legs. Best of all, this non-invasive, effective approach yields long-term hair reduction anywhere on the face or body and is designed to match your skin type and hair type, assuring exceptionally exact and gentle treatments.
Diode lasers eliminate unwanted hair by emitting a beam of light on to the skin. Passing harmlessly through the skin, the light targets the pigment (melanin) within the hair follicle and hair shaft. As the follicles absorb this laser energy, they are disabled, unable to produce new hair. The result: lasting hair reduction with no downtime. Immediately after treatments, the area may appear and feel mildly sunburned, a reaction that usually subsides within a day or so.
Women of all skin colors and most hair colors have been successfully treated. For best results, laser hair removal treatments are customized according to skin color, hair texture and body area. All hair follicles go through periods of dormancy and growth. As laser light only affects hair follicles that are actively producing hair at the time of treatment, resting follicles must enter the growth phase before they can be treated. For this reason, treatment must be repeated until all hair follicles have passed through the growing phase. Clinical studies indicate that typically four or more treatments are needed at intervals of between one to three months. While lasers are able to cover relatively large areas at high speed, the exact treatment time is determined by the size of the area being treated. The upper lip and underarm take only a few minutes; the leg may require up to an hour.
BOTOX® Treatments
As we age, frown lines between the eyebrows, “crows feet” around the eyes, and deep forehead “furrows” may become more pronounced and much more noticeable. A relatively recent and highly effective procedure that reverses these visible effects of facial aging incorporates a medication called BOTOX®. BOTOX® has been used since the early 1980’s by neurologists and opthamologists to treat lazy eye, eye spasms and other neurologic disorders. Minute injections of BOTOX® cause facial muscles to relax. As the muscles become less tense, facial wrinkles become more shallow, and blend in to surrounding tissue becoming less obvious. In some instances, wrinkles disappear completely.
BOTOX® treatments are a simple office procedure taking 10 to 15 minutes to complete. Although results are not permanent, improvement with initial treatment can last 3 to 6 months. Repeat treatments can result in an extended time of enhanced appearance. Improved, longer lasting results may be attained by combining BOTOX® with other procedures like Collagen injections, chemical peels, microdermabrasion skin resurfacing and FotoFacials™.
Contouring Fillers
There are a number of different products available today to help support the skin's ability to look and feel smooth, supple, and youthful. All of the products we use at Park Cities Aesthetics have been fully tested, FDA approved, and meet our exacting standards for safety, efficacy and extended results. Each patient is different, but we will carefully explain to you your choices and help you to make the right decision to receive maximum benefits from these products.
Restylane®/Perlane®
Our skin’s appearance is directly linked to the support system underneath the skin. Aging, sun exposure, dietary factors, smoking and disease can all weaken the foundation supporting skin layers. Lines, wrinkles and other surface depressions in the skin that are becoming more noticeable may be effectively treated with a product called Restylane®. Restylane® is made of a natural substance called hyaluronic acid, which is found in all life forms and provides volume and fullness to the skin. Hyaluronic acid can absorb up to 1000 times its weight in water. Restylane® is placed just beneath the skin surface as a filling agent to remove fine lines, depressions, acne scars, and wrinkles.
Sculptra™
Sculptra™ is a dynamic and exciting new injection procedure used to help reduce the effects of aging and restore the beauty of the skin in specific areas of the face. Sculptra™ is composed of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a synthetic product not made from human or animal sources. The ingredients in Sculptra™ are compatible with body tissue, are not harmful, and are able to be broken down within the body. PLLA has been widely used in other applications like soft tissue implants and dissolvable stitches. Clinical studies have shown improvement in facial appearance and skin thickness can last up to two years in patients. Unlike other injectable fillers, the results of Sculptra™ will not be noticed immediately. Over time, you will notice a visible and desirable increase in skin thickness that diminishes or eliminates facial wrinkles. After your initial treatment, another examination after a few weeks will help determine if additional treatments would be helpful. Over time, occasional touch-up applications may help maintain desired results.
Juvéderm™
As we age, our skin changes. Over time, the natural volume of youthful skin begins to diminish as lines and wrinkles form. But, with Juvéderm™ injectable gel, you don't have to let it happen. Recently approved by the FDA, Juvéderm™ is a “next-generation” dermal filler. This uniform consistency gel helps to instantly restore skin's volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds, like your "smile lines" or “parentheses”, the creases that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth. Juvéderm™ is made of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in your skin, which helps to add volume and hydration. Placed under the skin, it provides an even, natural look and feel so everyone will notice, but no one will know. Juvéderm™ injectable gel is the first FDA-approved hyaluronic acid dermal filler that is proven to be safe and effective for persons of color. Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers like Juvéderm™ injectable gel offer a safe and effective nonsurgical option for smoothing facial wrinkles and folds. Because Juvéderm™ injectable gel is a simple, nonsurgical treatment, there is minimal recovery or downtime.
Radiesse®
Radiesse® is the newest non-surgical facial contouring filler that delivers an immediate, longer lasting result and is FDA approved. Whether you’re longing to reverse the common signs of aging or address a health issue that otherwise would require an invasive treatment, you have more options in looking and feeling better with Radiesse®. A new generation injectable filler, it offers superior versatility for both cosmetic and reconstructive use without surgery. The unique composition of Radiesse® provides immediate visual improvement common with other fillers, along with the benefit of long-lasting results, frequently lasting a year or longer. Radiesse® is made of very tiny, smooth calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres, which form a scaffold through which your body’s own collagen grows. Working with your body, below the skin’s surface, to stimulate the production of collagen and encourages tissue regeneration. These unique advantages make Radiesse® an ideal choice for facial shaping and contouring along with other therapeutic applications. It is commonly used to correct smile lines, Nasolabial Folds, wrinkles around the nose and mouth, and can be used for restoration and/or correction of the signs of facial fat loss. We have found particular benefit in cheek enhancements with Radiesse®. Our patients have loved the non-surgical lift they receive.
Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion has been a common treatment method in Europe for the past 20 years, but only recently has become as popular in the United States. Microdermabrasion is desirable because treatments are not painful, they require no pre-treatment or anesthesia, and patients return to normal activities almost immediately.
The treatments are performed by trained technicians with the aid of a specialized vacuum machine and specifically designed head instruments that “jet” sterile micro-crystals at high speeds over the skin surface. As the crystals contact skin cells, they exfoliate the skin, remove sun and age spots, reduce fine lines and small scars, and promote softer and more supple skin.
Microdermabrasion may be used on all skin types, and is appropriate for face, neck, forearms, hands and the upper chest. Treatments last about 30 minutes. A series of 4 to 12 treatments is typical to achieve desired results. Side effects are limited to localized peeling and a “tighter” feel to the skin. It is recommended that subsequent to treatment, the appropriate cleansing, moisturizing and sun block products from the Ellemence skin care line be applied on a daily basis to achieve desired improvement and to protect the skin from new damage.
Custom-Blended Chemical Peels
Various chemical peeling solutions have been offered for years as a corrective approach to unwanted skin flaws. Peeling agents may be used over the entire body to address skin conditions resulting from mild scarring, irregular pigmentation and sun exposure. The type of condition being treated and the level of desired improvement determine the intensity and depth of a chemical peel. Longer recovery periods typically follow deeper peels.
Glycolic and Salicylic acid peels are considered “mild”, take a nominal time to apply, and allow normal activities to be resumed immediately. Trichloroacitic Acid (TCA) peels are of medium depth and can correct sun damage, freckling, pigmentation irregularities, and may improve fine lines and small scars. The recovery period for a TCA peel is typically 7 to 10 days. Chemical peels are often used in conjunction with a series of microdermabrasion procedures to enhance the end result of the peeling.
