Cosmetic Surgery in Mexico

If you have a body part that needs repair or you just want to improve upon an area of your body there are a variety of cosmetic surgery procedures open to you. Plastic surgery can be by choice, as in breast implants or a medical necessity to correct a birth defect or to treat an injury from an accident. If you want to have a cosmetic surgery procedure done there are several cosmetic surgeons in Mexico that can help you to make the choices that are best for you.

Cosmetic surgery is optional; by choice, most people choose this type of surgery to improve their appearance and self-esteem. This form of surgery reshapes parts of the body that are functioning normally.

Some Types of Facial Cosmetic Surgery

Blepharoplasty - eyelid surgery that removes the excess fat, muscle, and skin from both upper and lower lids. The results can be a refreshed appearance, with a younger, firmer eye area.

Facial scar revision - if your skin is in the process of recovering from an injury, whether it's the result of an accident, surgery, a burn, or acne, scarring can occur wherever multiple layers of the skin have been affected. Once a scar forms, it is permanent but may be made less visible or relocated surgically.

Getting a little nip here and a little tuck there has become the norm in our society. Surgeons and cosmetic surgery specialists are seeing more patients every year. And liposuction is the most popular procedure in the cosmetic surgery field. Liposuction removes unwanted fat from specific areas, including your abdomen, hips, buttocks, thighs, knees, upper arms, chin, back and your neck, providing with a well sculpted body. Liposuction can be done in conjunction with other cosmetic surgery procedures like breast augmentation or abdominoplasty.

The cosmetic surgery procedure Ultrasonic liposuction uses sound waves (ultrasonic) to liquefy fat deposits for easier removal. The major difference between ultrasonic liposuction and tumescent liposuction is the use of the sound waves to dissolve fat: ultrasonic liposuction uses high frequency sound waves to rupture fat cells, then, removes the liquefied fat. Ultrasonic liposuction proponents claim that this process also helps prevent future weight gain in areas treated with ultrasonic liposuction, because the ruptured fat cells can no longer hold fat.

The tumescent liposuction procedure involves injecting a mixture of local anesthetic, adrenaline, and saline just below the skin. This process removes most of the liquid and any remaining fluids will drain through the tumescent liposuction openings.

Your plastic surgeon will make a tiny incision near to the area to be suctioned. Whenever possible, incisions are hidden within the natural folds or contour lines of the skin. A small cannula is inserted though the incision so that its tips penetrates and vacuum the underlying fat. After the cannula is connected by flexible tubing to a suction pump, your surgeon will move the cannula back and forth through the fat, which is vacuumed into the tube. Fluid is lost along with the fat, and it's crucial that this fluid be replaced during the procedure to prevent shock. For this reason, you will need to be carefully monitored and have intravenous fluids during and immediately after surgery.
