Freckle Removal

I remember as a little kid trying to scrub the freckles off my face. People who don't have freckles, can't relate to how annoying they are for those of us who have them. Freckles are those small, pigmented lesions, often found on the face, arms, legs, and back. I say small, but if you have them they are HUGE and stand out and you can't stand them, all that you can think about is freckle removal.

And while as a child we may not have been able to scrub them away, thanks to the revolution of lasers we can now have our freckles removed easily. Thanks to the precise technology of lasers, treatment can be targeted even at a very tiny spot.

Other Freckle Removal Options Include

Another method of choice is Retin-A and a variety of chemical peels. A laser is the quickest way, but Retin-A is really good, the down side is that it can take months of using the product before you see any results.

Chemical peels basically come in two types, surface and deep penetrating. The surface peels, such as glycolic peels, can remove freckles, but only have multiple treatments. The deep penetrating peels will get rid of your freckles immediately, but there is a longer recovery period.

Which brings us back to lasers, the biggest plus of the newer laser systems is that the laser energy is absorbed exclusively by the color of the freckle, and it doesn't damage any of the surrounding skin. This is my treatment of choice, especially on the face.

For more information about Freckle Removal Treatments you should contact a cosmetic surgeon in your area. Whether it's a freckle removal or another cosmetic procedure, a doctor in your area can help you decide what treatment options are best for you.
