Skin Care for Blackheads

We've all experienced the feeling at least once in our lives: we look in the mirror and notice a zit has appeared there overnight. There are a bunch of different reasons why this could happen, stress and hormonal changes being among the most prevalent of them.

In times of skin strife, the proper skin care is needed. There are different categories of zits, and one of the worst is blackheads. What are blackheads? They're puss-filled pimples that have more dirt in them than usual, and thus go deeper into the pores.

The skin care regimen for blackheads has to be precise. Whatever you do, you have to make sure that you don't dig into your skin with a needle or with your fingernails in an attempt to get the blackheads out. The reason for this is that there are germs that can easily permeate the epidermal layers and cause an additional infection.

So, the first thing that you need to do in your skin care regimen is to get a clean washcloth and dampen it with hot water. Wring out the wash cloth, and place it on the area where the blackhead is. The hot water and the pressure placed on the blackhead will cause all of the puss and dirt to come to the top and eventually break. The final step of the skin care regimen is to dry up the remaining reddened area where the puss once was. For these, apply some ointment cream with salicylic acid in it right after you've cleansed the area with the cloth.
