Improve Skin Laxity with Skin Tyte

Skin laxity may be problematic for individuals in Campbell, California and other areas of the country. Skin Tyte is a non-invasive treatment of skin laxity that may be safer and more effective than many other treatments. This treatment utilizes Sciton ST Broad Band Light to offer safe infrared light energy and skin cooling technology for an effective, yet safe and comfortable treatment. The procedure works by providing heat below the surface of the skin. This results in the tightening of tissue and reduced skin laxity. The dermal collagen deeper within the skin is heated, while at the same time cooling the surface of the skin, called the epidermis.

The cooling technology used reduces pain and minimizes the thermal injury to the surrounding skin structures. This treatment is designed to provide pulsed infrared light energy to improve the appearance of skin that is sun damaged or aged, and to decrease patches of redness on the face or neck. This helps many individuals achieve younger-looking skin in a safe and effective manner. This treatment may be used to treat a variety of areas on the body such as the neck, chest, hands and arms.

Several conditions may be treated using Skin Tyte including Erythema skin rejuvenation, rosacea, acne scarring, flushed patches of skin, fine lines and wrinkles, telangiectasia hyperpigmentation and letigines. The treatment may also be used before or following face or neck lifts, before or following laser resurfacing procedures, following chemical peels, following BOTOX ® injections, following collagen injections or in combination with microdermabrasion treatments.

Patients will have to remove facial makeup, ointments and creams before undergoing treatment. Men should shave on the day of treatment before they go to the doctor's office or clinic. If you have blisters on the face, the treatment may be delayed until the condition clears up. Recent facial infections or herpetic sores may also cause the treatment to be delayed. Eye shields or goggles will be worn during treatment, and a soothing gel may be used for those sensitive to pain.

A series of safe, gentle pulsed infrared light is applied to the treatment area. A specially equipped light beam is used to apply treatment, and most patients require about two to five sessions of this treatment, spaced about three to four weeks apart. About 45 minutes are required per treatment area. Most do not require general or IV sedation, but topical creams may be applied for patient comfort during treatment.

Patients may experience minimal facial swelling on the first day after treatment, but makeup may be worn soon after. Patients may ice the area after treatment and should follow the instructions given to them by the medical professional who performed the treatment.

Patients are also encouraged to discuss possible side effects with a medical professional in the Campbell area. These may include redness, blistering and bruising which are typically mild and short in duration. Post treatment pigmentation has also been reported, but this is treatable and rare. Decreased pigmentation has also been reported, but this is even rarer and should clear over time as well. Scars or infections may also occur, although these are also rare side effects. Swelling is common for a few days after treatment, and may be most common in skin that is sun damaged.
