They include fewer noticeable lines and wrinkles, a firmer skin tone, and less discoloration, particularly from sun spots.
To maintain these results, specialists encourage patients to stay out of the sun or cover their skin while outdoors. Sunscreen should also be applied daily to prevent further damage and protect new skin tissues. As the skin heals, patients should use moisturizer to hydrate the developing skin cells and keep the skin pliable during this time.
