Hylaform is a dermal filler that can be used to augment your lips as well as filling in acne scars. Because it isn’t altered too much, Hylaform has a low incidence of hypersensitivity reactions and it doesn’t require that your skin be tested before treatment. The chemically stabilized hyaluronic acid found in Hylaform can last anywhere from 6 to 12 months. This is substantially longer than other collagen based dermal fillers.
Your cosmetic surgeon will use a fine needle, injecting Hylaform into the dermis below the wrinkle, lifting the wrinkle out to the desired correction. Hylaform is injected directly into and around the lip for lip augmentation.
Topical or local anesthetic may be used to anesthetize the injection sites. You may experience mild to moderate stinging and burning during the injection, while redness and swelling can last for hours or days after the injection.
Once injected, Hylaform mixes into the dermis and binds water, which means that you see immediate.
