Utilizing a laser for liposuction, your surgeon will make a few small incisions in the targeted area site where a very small tube containing a laser fiber is inserted into the skin. The tube is then moved back and forth delivering the high-powered laser’s energy directly to your fat cells, causing them to rupture and drain away. The laser energy also interacts with the dermis, resulting in your skin tightening.
These procedures are minimally invasive procedure and can be performed under local anesthesia. With this technique, the small blood vessels coagulate immediately on contact, resulting in less bleeding, swelling and bruising – and a quicker recovery time. Because general anesthesia is unnecessary, the procedure is very safe, with only minimal side effects.
