About Dermasound

DermaSound is a three-step system gaining popularity in the treatment of a variety of skin disorders. The first step of this procedure uses water oscillation to loosen and remove dead skin cells from the surface of the skin. The esthetician uses a vibrating, hand-held device to remove surface debris from the skin which can make the skin appear dull and dirty. This first step is known as cavitation and is similar to exfoliation and Microdermabrasion. However, because of its unique steps, DermaSound reduces the risk of redness and skin inflammation that other treatments often cause.

The second step of DermaSound utilizes low-frequency ultrasonic waves to create pathways in the layers of the skin. These pathways are used as a reservoir for antioxidant products specific to the condition being treated. The third step of DermaSound uses microcurrent therapy to moisturize and promote healing of the skin. Because environmental factors, such as UV rays and pollutants can damage skin cells, cell functioning is restored as the cell's electrical charges are balanced, giving way to their normal status. During this step, the production of collagen and elastin is stimulated, resulting in firmer and younger-looking skin.
