Age spot appears after microdermabrasion. Is this possible?

I received my first session of microdermabrasion today and developed a new brown age spot (the spot was not there before the treatment.) Is this possible? Why did the spot appear? Is it permanent? What can I do to get rid of it? Thank you

Yes, by removing the outer layer of skin through microdermabrasion, you may reveal darker spots that had not of yet broken through. Use an IPL Photofacial (usually package of 3 or more) to remove sun damage and age spots.
