I would not recommend doing chemical peels on yourself at home. You can get into a lot of trouble doing this procedure on yourself. You need to have a qualified person performing them on you. You need to have the procedure discussed with you on what to expect and it's
risks and possible complications. Not everyone is a candidate for chemical peels..

Peels are very effective when done in an in-office environment. Home peeling agents have to meet safety requirements to be sold over the counter and do not give the same results as those done in a dermatological setting.

At home chemical peels can be safe and effective if used according to the package directions. However, just like brushing your teeth at home does not substitute for a professional cleaning at the dentist, so too with chemical peels. A medical grade peel with or without a medical grade microdermabrasion will give you much better results and is the basis for good skin care as we age for most people. Home peels can be used to help maintain those professional results. Consulting with your skin professional is recommended to coordinate your skin care regimen.

"At Home" peels are not medical grade products. They would not deliver the same results.

Chemical peels at home are very weak, I believe it is waste of money.

At home peels are not as affective, reason being they are not as strong. Chemical peels should be done at a MedSpa, Dermatologist or Cosmetic Surgeons office. There are many different chemical peels and the medical teams at these establishments can offer you the best one suited for your needs.

It depends on what your goals are. Chemical peels come in many
varieties. If you wish to get rid of fine lines and wrinkles and 25
years of sun damage a phenol peel may work great (up to a couple weeks
of downtime), but an at home peel will not solve your issues. On the
other hand if you are just looking for very superficial exfoliation
(removal of surface dead skin cells) then an at home option might be a
good one.
