Are collagen injections safer than other dermal fillers?

Is it better to use collagen because it is more natural? What are the side effects/risks? Could your body reject the substance?

The opposite is actually true. Most collagen products are derived from animal sources like pigs. With these products, we have to do a test patch first but you could still become allergic and have rejection occur. With today's products, the fillers are made of the same exact materials found in your body already and rejection and allergies are extremely rare. I haven't
seen any of these reactions during the last ten years of providing fillers for my patients.
