Are my Restylane Injections already losing their effect after five weeks?

I had restylane injections to improve deep undereye wells. I had them in the tear trough(I think that's how you spell it) It was great but after three weeks and now 5 weeks the filler seems completely gone. I haven't lost weight' Can you tell me

Unfortunately, this can happen with Restylane. It is a very thin filler that can actually migrate lower after placement. I prefer to use Sculptra in these areas because it actually stimulates your body to produce its own collagen which doesn't move and can last 2 years or more.

It sounds like not enough filler was used. You liked the effect when there was also some swelling, but once the swelling resolved the fill was not sufficient. Let the injector know what is going on- perhaps they can touch it up. FIller lasts many months in this region, even a year or more.

It would be unusual for the product to disappear like that..although it can shift.

If the product has been lost after 5 weeks it was injected incorrectly. In our practice, because there is little movement under the eye, the product usually lasts between 6-9 months.
