Can BOTOX travel around my body once injected?

If botox is injected in a very large area, or if it is by any chance injected into a blood vessel there is a possibility that it may affect you, but that is very unusual. Usually the complications for botox are local, with an eye drop paralysis, if it is injected very close to the eye, some people can have a severe allergic reaction. If the patient is feeling such symptoms, then I would advise him or her to go immediately to the emergency room and let the physician know he or she has had a botox injection.

The answer is yes that Botox does have the ability to travel, but there
are two reasons why this issue should not concern you. The first is
that Botox normally travels a distance of less than an inch from the
muscle to which it is injected.

The second is that the Box Cosmetic is used in very small doses compared
to what would be considered toxic to the body.

Small amounts of botox needed to correct wrinkles only affect the
localized areas and do not migrate or travel to other areas. It will
not paralyze you.
