Yes, chemical peels can be done on the neck. Since the neck is more delicate than the face, a more toned down version of a facial peel may be used or less passes done to get results. Make sure you see someone with a lot of experience with chemical facial peels.

The skin of the neck should not be confused with the more tolerant skin of the face. Chemical peels can safely be done on the neck but they must be fairly light to prevent prolonged healing and scarring. Light chemical peels would be AHA (alpha-hydroxy acid) and glycolic peels of varying strengths would be safe peels for the neck area.

Yes, a chemical peel can be extended onto the neck. In the case of a deeper peel, a test spot may be required prior to the full peel. Even the chest is sometimes treated with chemical peels.

There are many types of chemical peels. I would suggest only a glycolic peel supervised by a Dermatologist or Plastic surgeon.

Also, I would only suggest glycolic peels in people with light colored skin. Patients with dark skin are apt to hyperpigment(get darker) from chemical peels.

Yes, you can have a peel on your neck as well as face, but depending what is used, it will probably have to be left on for a shorter period of time or be a weaker strength. You are right that the skin on the neck is more sensitive. A wonderful anti-aging peel is the VI Peel. This can be left on the face for an extended period - all day- but washed off the neck earlier.
