Cellulite Treatment

Does VelaShape remove cellulite? Are there really no incisions involved? It sounds too good to be true.

Velashape is a noninvasive treatment that uses a combination of
radiofrequency energy and infrared light to enhance collagen production.
This in turn lightens and tightens stretch marks and decreases cellulite and is my procedure of choice for your problem. Typically 10 short sessions one week apart are required.

VelaShape does not involve incisions, down-time or pain. It is the first and only FDA-cleared medical device for the treatment of cellulite. Heat is delivered to the cellulite tissue to shrink fat cells along with mechanical massage to improve lymphatic drainage and mobilize retained fluid. Vacuum suction is then delivered to increase blood flow. Treatment is usually performed weekly in 20-30 minute sessions over several weeks and requires touch-ups like most other cosmetic non-surgical treatments. The duration of treatment depends on the client's goals and amount of cellulite, age, genetics and other factors.

VelaShape is a solid technology, without any incisions, and it does a decent job temporarily improving cellulite. However, for maximum cellulite improvement, the device needs to be able to penetrate heat down around an inch deep into the subcutaneous fat (to reduce it) and also tighten the tissue after the reduction. The Accent XL delivers this type of result.
