There is a little fading that occurs over the 4-6 weeks after a laser tattoo treatment is done. Your body slowly removes some of the pigment over this time and this is the reason why treatments are done every 4-6 weeks.

Tattoos continue fading for months after the treatments have been completed. The reason the treatments are spread 6 weeks apart is so that the body has time to remove the ink that has been broken down by the laser treatment.
