Smoothbeam may help for scars, but it depends on what type you have. Also, we do not feel it would be your most effective option for acne scars. If you are speaking about acne scars (bumpy, facial acne scars) there are several good options that we think would be more effective than Smoothbeam. The only real advantage for Smoothbeam compared to these options is that it has no downtime and is generally cheaper.

Options include:

CO2, Erbium or Fractional Laser Resurfacing
Subcision or Punch Excision
Dermabrasion
