A consultation is the best way to find out. But, you want to find a minimally invasive, small tools, small incision technology that removes alot of fat safely and quickly. You also want skin tightening. Vaser is good, but we tend to move towards Vibro Lipo more because of the other capabilities it offers. No matter what, you should always have some sort of laser lipo for the skin tightening.

If you are looking to lose 4-8 cm (2-4 inches) off of your waistline, then a minimally invasive procedure like Lipolite or Vaser is the way to go. Anything more would require traditional general anesthesia and liposuction.

That is a great question and also a difficult one. You will likely get
differing opinions on this. I happen to think that the Vaser is the way to
go, because it is designed to cause the least "collateral damage" to things
other than fat cells. I may be in the minority on that and I certainly
think that one can get excellent cosmetic results with any of the currently
available liposuction techniques out there today. There are many subtle
differences from one physician to the next, for example, many docs use
external lasers or ultrasound to first "soften" the fat before performing
traditional liposuction; some include or recommend a series of after care
which includes massage or lipomassage, or some other treatment to enhance
the smoothness of the results and to speed healing. So, you will need to do
your research in order to find out exactly what each doctor does to get the
results he or she wants. You need to make sure you are comparing apples to
apples, especially when considering price. Make sure to know what is
included and what is not so that you can make the best decision. I do not
think the differences between different laser lipolysis units (e.g.
SmartLipo vs. Cool Lipo vs Lipo Therme) are significant enough to make much
of a difference. They all use a laser to melt the fat before it is sucked
out. In the end, my recommendation would be to get liposuction done by a
doctor you trust and in whom you have heard some good first-hand reports.
As long as the doctor has had proper training and experience and gets good
results, the modality used is of lesser importance. With that being said, I
will still recommend Vaser, given the choice. Hope that helps.

Any lipo procedure done with laser is more expensive and achieves nothing more than routine tumescent lipo - i"ve compared the two.
