How long should you wait in between Laser Tattoo Rremoval procedures?

I have read in several places that if you go for another procedure too soon that you would be just wasting your money. How long should you wait in between procedures?

You should do your Tattoo Laser treatments about a month apart. However, if you can't you will still get continued improvement between treatments. It will not diminish your results if you have to spread your appointments farther apart.

After Laser Tattoo Removal, you need time for your bodies immune system to clear the particles of ink that have been "blasted" apart. We have all patients wait a minimum of 2 months between treatments, as this is when the vast majority of tattoo fading will occur. As treatments progress, and the ink becomes more difficult to remove, we actually space our treatments further apart, to allow more time for immune clearance of the tattoo ink.
I agree that too early or frequent returns for tattoo treatment are not helpful, may actually be harmful to the healing skin and increase risk of scarring, will cost you more, and will not clear your tattoo more quickly.

Tattoo removal procedures should be no closer than 6 weeks apart. The reason for this is that it takes this long for the body to remove the pigment that is broken up in the previous treatment (through the blood). If you repeat the process before 6 weeks, you are not giving yourself enough time to remove the pigment and will end up paying for more treatments.

On average, you should wait at least 4 wks to 8 wks. I agree that if you do it any sooner than 4 wks then you would be just wasting time and money.

In our opinion, waiting 12 weeks between appointments will give the best results without unnecessary treatments.
