Is there any other solution for scar removal?

I had laser scar removal and am now dealing with larger scars than before. I've tried chemical peels, bleaching creams, etc. Is there any other solution?

You probably had the wrong kind of laser treatment. I would suggest a laser ablative treatment which should improve the scar to some degree. The one I use is the Sciton Profractional which uses an erbium yag laser. You can also use a CO2 laser as well.

There may be other scar options for you but because scars come in so many varieties it is impossible to know which treatment program will help. Your best bet is to schedule several consultations with physicians that commonly handle scar revision to understand your options.

What type of laser was used to "remove" the scar? We've had great success using Palomar's 1540 Fractional Erbium Laser however we'd call it scar reduction not scar removal. Most patients will see a 60% or better improvement over 4-6 treatments. I don't know of any laser that is FDA approved to "remove" a scar.
