What are some alternatives to Botox?

I'm a little worried about the side effects associated with Botox. Are there other options that could give me similar results?

Most of the side effects of Botox are minimal. It's important for the physician to know which side effect is the one you are most worried about. Pain at injection site and mild bruising are the most common side effects. Alternatives to Botox are other toxins that provide same effect (example Xeomin and Dysport) but they will carry the same side effects.

The only Botox alternative with FDA approval is Dysport (a very similar product). If you are looking for a NON-botulinum toxin product that mimics the effects of Botox, we do not have a suggestion because we do not believe there are viable alternatives. Laser resurfacing may help with some wrinkles, but works in a very different way and with much different results than Botox.

Depending on the severity and the location, you can consider a combination of medical grade skin care products with some form of laser rejuvenation treatment such as Fraxel or a skin tightening device such as Aluma or Refirme.
