You need to be seen by a physician for evaluation to determine why you are breaking out. Good skin care is always the base on which to build any acne treatment regime. I recommend a physician strength product line not over the counter or internet. Chemical peels, laser, etc. can help augment the effect of skin care.

Blue light treatments are really best for inflammatory acne. You
basically have sebum (oils) in your pores that can be expressed from
the pore with pressure. This is not the same as acne. I would tell you
to wash your face 2 times per day for 1 minute each time. Use a good
facial wash. I would then recommend to use a retinol
or tretinoin cream as these may benefit you.

Adult acne is treated similarly to adolescent acne. Exfoliation treatments, antimicrobial treatments, and treatments for oil glands can be part of the therapies used. What you are describing is more likely sebaceous gland hyperplasia.The response to blue light will be minimal.

Blu Light treatments are primarily to kill acne bacteria. While they
may help with your blackheads (based on your description of the acne on
the nose and chin), it is more likely that a daily exfoliant like Retin
A or Glycolic acid products will help more. In addition, we use
q-switched lasers to dislodge blackheads and get active acne under
control right at the beginning of the acne treatment plan. Because your
acne is very mild, a laser treatment program may not be the most cost
effective route.

medications, accutane, light chemical peels and several different lasers.
