What is the difference between Thermage and Dot Therapy for my face?

I am considering have dot therapy for my face and neck. I recently saw a clip on the news about Thermage. I want to know what the difference is between the two.

A big difference. Thermage is a non-invasive treatment in which the tissue just beneath the skin is heated, causing collagen denaturation and stimulating collagen re-growth over the following 6 months to bring about a gradual change resulting in more youthful-looking skin: decreased fine lines and wrinkles, a subtle lifting effect, decreased pore size, to name a few.

Dot Therapy is a form of fractional laser therapy, which produces a small grid of tiny burn holes into the superficial layers of the skin. This treatment usually requires several treatments and has similar, but more dramatic results than Thermage. Fractional resurfacing does not produce the "lifted" look of Thermage, but does a better job on the skin. Age spots, pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles are all effectively improved with this
technology, giving a fairly dramatic facial rejuvenation over a period of a few months. Fractional therapies such as Dot Therapy give great results, but are associated with some post-procedure "down-time," in which you will not want to be attending big social events or posing for your holiday photos. Thermage, on the other hand, is truly a no-downtime procedure.
