Which version of Juvederm is best?

I've heard that there are multiple Juvederm formulations; which one is best? Why are there different kinds?

The difference in the types of Juvederm is their thickness. One is thicker for use in the laugh lines and another is better in the thinner areas like the upper lip. I hope this helps.

Juvederm Ultra is thinner than Juvederm Ultra Plus. The thinner version is better in the lips and around the lips and eye areas, while the thicker version is better in the nasolabial and marionette lines...

Juvederm has different forms because they are used in different areas for different needs. The physician decides which is better for your problem area. Neither is better than the other. It just depends on your area being treated. Juvederm Ultra is thinner and for finer lines and Juvederm Ultra Plus is for deeper creases. Each treatment is customized for the patient.

The different forms vary in the density of the filler particle. Sometimes more or less stiffness is desired- say if you are filling a nasolabial fold versus a lip, the choice might be different. Frankly Juvederm Ultra and Ultra Plus can both be used anywhere that filler is used in the face.

The best one depends on where it's being injected. Thicker one for deeper areas, fine
for superficial lines.

There are 2 forms of Juvederm...Ultra and Ultra Plus. The Ultra Plus is used for deeper lines because it is a larger molecule, which provides more support under the skin for deeper lines. Our consultations are free of charge, so please call for an appointment and we can determine which is best for you.
