NO! Thermage does NOT work on fat. This is a huge misconception due to their body tips. Thermage can and does regularly reduce a patient's waist by 2 inches within an hour. We do it all the time, and we even do it on live tv. We are that confident in the procedure. But, if a patient is wanting to reduce belly fat, or any fat for that matter, Thermage is not the answer. Even when we push the energy limits to get great results, we don't come close to hitting the fat cell areas. We are strictly tightening collagen fibers in the body to get really nice reductions in size. If you gain weight, this result goes away. Therefore, a perfect Thermage body patient is someone that is close to or near their idea weight, but in need of some waist reduction.
