Effective antibiotic to remove acne ?

I have acne for the past few months. I have tried taking antibiotics for 15 days. Can you suggest an effective antibiotic, which can/will remove my acne permanently?

The choice of antibiotic for acne is an important one but a full consultation with close follow up is more important to go over a comprehensive strategy which includes diet, behavioral modification, a topical regimen, and oral antibiotics if needed. Please consider a virtual consultation if needed.

Antibiotics for acne only work while you are taking them. The oral
antibiotics take 4-8 weeks to start working. So there is no quick fix. My
favorite antibiotics for acne are Doxycycline, Minocycline and Sulfa
antibiotics. The only medication that has the potential for curing your acne
is Accutane. This is a synthetic vitamin A medication that you take orally
for 5 months. While you are on this medication you need to be monitored
every month with a visit to the doctor and lab work. It can take a couple of
months for this medication to start working. It is a wonderful treatment but
the patient needs to be monitored.

Unfortunately, there are no antibiotics that will remove acne
permanently. The role of antibiotics is to kill acne bacteria, thereby
lessening the acne problem. If the antibiotic you are currently using
is not working well for you we would suggest returning to your physician
to discuss the issue.

If your acne is very severe, you may want to consider discussing
Accutane with your physician.

I don’t have cystic acne. In fact, my face is clear right now, except for a bit of texture. But I am Hispanic and I suffered from bad moments of acne in the past year. There are a lot of dark spots left over and they are not going away. I want to try Accutane to prevent any future pimples. I’ve also seen people have such flawless skin while on Accutane and wonder if I could get on it just to help my severe hyperpigmentation. Thank you.
