Each patient responds differently to Juvederm. You could bruise just a little or possibly a lot. I suggest patients plan for a week of bruising just in case.
Other things that can help you are to avoid Aspirin based products, Anti-inflammatory products such as Motrin and Aleve and Vitamin E for 10 days prior to treatments if possible. There is something in the product that makes you bruise. Also, each treatment is different. Just because you did not bruise the first time you had it does not mean you will not bruise the next time.

It depends on the location of the bruise, severity of the bruise, and healing capabilities of the patient. On average, the bruise will last anywhere between 3-14 days. You can try several things to speed up the healing of the bruise.
1. Ice 5-10 minutes to that area 3 times a day
2. Eat fresh pineapple (whole pineapple x 3 days) - it has bromelain which
is a natural anti-inflammatory and anti-bruising
3. Arnica Montana 30X
4. Auriderm - usually only found at doctor's office - has Vitamin K which helps with bruising

Injection bruising can last anywhere from several days to several months. It depends on the severity and depth of the bruise. There are ways to minimize the appearance of the bruising, including pulsed dye laser treatments, which can typically get rid of a bruise within a
couple days of the treatment. For these treatments, it's better to have the treatment within 72 hours of the initial injection bruise.
