How young is too young for Botox?

I have dry skin that is already starting to show wrinkles at age 24! Will it look unnatural for me to start getting botox this young?

No, it won't look unnatural if done correctly. You just need to put the appropriate amount. In addition, good preventive skin care is a must such as a good UVA and UVB sunscreen and a Vitamin C product which will help with fine lines. It is never too early to start prevention.

You can start having your Botox at 24 years of age. If your skin is already showing signs of wrinkling you should start your Botox. You want to catch the wrinkles before they become fixed.
Be sure to wear your sunscreen everyday. If you still feel dry then add some moisturizer.

We do have Botox patients in their 20's at our practice. The bottom line in determining whether or not Botox is appropriate is whether you can visibly see wrinkles that are caused by facial muscle contraction. If you have lines on the forehead, outer eye, between the eyes or in the upper lip that are visible when frowning, smiling or raising the brow, then you can benefit from Botox. Many practitioners and young people alike believe in the preventative possibilities of Botox, although we know of no studies along these lines.
