The only effect that weight loss will have is possibly needing additional filler to restore volume lost. Many of my patients see weight loss first in their face. Existing filler will still give volume where it was injected, but the added weight loss may result in more hollowing and sagging in the face. If you plan to lose weight, you can still have filler injections now to correct lines and hollows, and when you lose weight, you can have a follow-up visit to assess whether more filler would be appropriate.

I think it would be more ideal if you lost the 10 lbs first and then did the dermal fillers. This would give you the most optimal result. What can happen is that you can lose some fat in multiple areas, particularly underneath the eyes, temples, and sides of the face which are all treatable with fillers. You won't know that until you have lost the weight.

Losing the weight will not affect the Restylane itself, but if you lose more tissue volume in your face as you lose weight, you may be in need of additional injections. We would suggest getting the injections now and adding more later if need be.
