Is Microdermabrasion safe for very sensitive skin?

Microdermabrasion . 1 answer . 5 years ago

I have red hair and very fair, freckly skin. My skin tends to get very red and splotchy, and I would like to address it but don't want a bad reaction. Is microdermabrasion a good choice?

When used correctly, microdermabrasion is safe for most skin types. The quality of the machine and the experience of the operator are very important. Be sure that you tell your technicion about your sensitivity before the procedure begins. If you feel anything during the procedure that is painful, have them stop the procedure. While not as pleasant as a facial, microdermabrasion should not be painful.
