We have been doing IPL treatments with the single fire IPL Starlux system
and you can certainly get even coverage if your clinician is experienced.
However, it cannot match the continuous fire lasers like the Fraxel Dual.
The clinician essentially "rolls" the hand piece over the face and the laser
lays down a continuous pattern of light to achieve a consistent blending and
brightening of the complexion. It is a more elegant approach.

I recommend that the entire face be treated with the IPL so that you
can ensure even results. If you do so, then there will be even tone
and the entire skin will look rejuvenated.

Yes, when you have a Fotofacial/IPL the entire face has a consistent color.
Another advantage is that if you are only doing part of the face such as for
acne scars on the cheeks or red cheeks you still have a consistent look to
your skin. There is no line of demarcation. I often do part of the face to
help patients decrease their costs in having these procedures.

Hello and thank you for your inquiery. Fotofacial treatments can be done in one area or full face. It is best to determine that with your physician as to what is best for your skin needs.
