Doctors consult, but doesn't do the procedure?

I have had 4 consults for the DOT laser and all doc's seem capable. Is it important that the actual physician performs the procedure? I am finding that in all four practices the doc does the consult but someone else does the procedure. Any feedback?

I recently had DOT Therapy and it isn't a simple recovery like mentioned. I am purple, blistering, brown, pink and there is no way I can put makeup on or go outside. It has been a week today. I don't believe this is normal. Is it?
